Privacy Policy

How ASK Financial Services collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, and the choices and rights you have.

01Who we are

ASK Financial Services LLC-FZ (“ASK”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a company registered in the Meydan Free Zone, Dubai (trade licence number 2653754.01, issued by Meydan Free Zone, Dubai), located at Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

ASK is a financial guidance and intermediary business. We help individuals and companies understand their financing options and prepare and submit applications to banks and finance providers. ASK is not a bank or a lender and does not provide finance itself.

02Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to personal information about:

visitors to askgulf.com;
people who send us an enquiry or contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email;
applicants and clients, including people whose information is provided as part of a corporate application, such as partners, shareholders and authorised signatories;
users of our client portal, including ASK employees and shareholders who use it to handle cases.

Our Enquiry Privacy Notice gives a shorter summary for the consultation enquiry form. Where you sign a client agreement with ASK, it may contain further terms about how information is handled for your case.

03Information we collect

When you visit our website

Technical information that our hosting provider records for security and reliability, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request.
Cookies and similar storage, as described in section 9. Analytics information is collected only if you agree to it.

When you send an enquiry

Your name, email address and mobile number, whether the enquiry is individual or corporate and the company name, the service you are interested in, your preferred contact method and any message you write.
The date, time and version of the notice you agreed to, a reference number, and a one-way coded form of your IP address used only to detect abuse of the form.

When you apply for a service

To assess your options and prepare an application, we collect the information and documents needed for your case. Depending on the service and whether the application is individual or corporate, this may include:

Identity: name, contact details, Emirates ID, passport and visa page, and residency status;
Financial: bank statements, AECB credit reports, income and employment details, salary certificates (including designation, date of joining and confirmation status), and evidence of other income such as tenancy contracts, Ejari registrations and copies of cheques received from tenants;
Property: title deeds, affection plans, completion certificates, sale and purchase agreements, statements of account from developers, and previous valuation reports;
Existing finance: facility letters and outstanding loan amounts;
Company: trade licences (including of any parent company), memorandum of association and amendments, identity documents of partners, company bank statements, VAT registration certificates and returns, and audited financial statements;
the answers you give in your application, the amounts and purpose of the finance you seek, and the history of your case, including messages between you and our team.

When you use the client portal

Account details: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored only in a one-way protected form that we cannot read).
Security information: sign-in times, the IP address and actions recorded in our security log, and, for ASK personnel, two-step verification settings, which are stored in encrypted form.

Information about other people

If you give us information about someone else, such as a company partner, co-applicant or authorised signatory, you must have their authority to do so and make sure they know how we will use it, for example by showing them this policy.

04How we use your information

To respond to enquiries and arrange consultations, on the basis of the consent you give when you send an enquiry.
To assess your options and prepare, submit and follow up applications to the banks and finance providers you choose. We do this because you ask us to and to perform our client agreement with you.
To manage your case and keep you informed, including portal messages, status updates and email notifications.
To administer our client agreement, including fees, invoices and records of what was agreed.
To keep our services and your information secure, including access controls, security logs, fraud prevention and investigating misuse.
To comply with the law, including record-keeping duties and lawful requests from authorities.
To understand how our website is used, through analytics, only if you agree.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We do not use your information for automated decisions about you and we do not sell it. We do not use enquiry or client information for marketing.

05Banks and finance providers

ASK does not make lending decisions. When you instruct us to approach a bank or finance provider, we share the information and documents needed for that application with the provider you have agreed to. The provider then handles that information under its own privacy notice and may collect further information, such as its own credit checks.

Any agreement for finance is made directly between you (or your company) and the provider. Please read the provider’s own privacy notice and terms.

07Where your information is processed

The server that hosts our website, its database and the documents uploaded to our client portal is located in India, so this information is stored and processed outside the United Arab Emirates. Our company email service is also provided by Hostinger and may be processed outside the UAE. If you accept analytics cookies, Google may process analytics information in other countries, including the United States.

We transfer information to these places so that we can provide our services, and we protect it in transit with encrypted connections. Where the law sets conditions for transferring personal information outside the UAE, we will rely only on the routes it permits. If the place where we store information changes, we will update this policy.

08How we protect your information

Our website and client portal use encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Documents uploaded to the client portal are stored privately, outside the public part of our website, under random file names. They can only be downloaded after signing in, by a person authorised to see that case, through a check that is repeated for every download.
Access is based on roles: customers see only their own cases, employees only the cases assigned to them, and shareholders all cases. ASK personnel must complete two-step verification before they can open case information, and their access lapses after a period of inactivity.
Sign-ins, downloads, status changes, failed access attempts and changes to accounts and permissions are recorded in a security log.
Uploads are checked for file type and size, repeated failed sign-ins are temporarily blocked, and accounts of people who leave ASK are disabled immediately.
Email notifications about applications contain only a case reference and basic case information, such as the service, the type of application, its status or the number of documents, never applicants’ names, documents or financial details.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will act in line with our legal obligations.

09Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:

Essential cookies. When you sign in to the client portal, WordPress sets cookies (named “wordpress_logged_in_…”, “wordpress_sec_…” and “wordpress_test_cookie”) that keep you signed in securely. A caching cookie may also be set for signed-in users. These are needed for the portal to work and do not require consent.
Your analytics choice. If we ask whether you accept analytics, your answer is saved in your browser (“ask_consent”) so that we do not ask again on every page.
Google Analytics (optional). Only if you click “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as “_ga” and “_ga_…”, which by default last up to two years) to measure visits in aggregate. If you decline, or do not choose, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Analytics is never used on client portal or application pages, and we do not send names, contact details, case references or financial information to Google. Google’s advertising features are switched off.

Our fonts are served from our own website, and we do not use advertising cookies. You can change your analytics choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of our website, and you can delete cookies through your browser settings.

10How long we keep information

Enquiries sent through our consultation form are deleted automatically 24 months after they are received, unless the law requires longer. If an enquiry leads to an application, the relevant details become part of the client record described below.
Applications, client records and uploaded documents are kept for as long as we work with you and afterwards for the period needed to meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations and to deal with any questions or disputes.
Security log entries are deleted automatically 12 months after they are recorded, unless the law requires longer. Case histories are kept with the case record.
Unsubmitted application drafts are kept until you delete them, submit them or your account is closed.
Analytics information, if you accepted analytics, is kept by Google for the retention period set in our Analytics account.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

11Your rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may have the right to:

be told how we use your information and receive a copy of it;
ask for your information to be corrected or completed;
ask for your information to be deleted, or for its use to be restricted or stopped;
receive information you provided in a structured, commonly used format, where the law provides for this;
object to certain uses of your information; and
withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

Some rights are limited by law. For example, we may need to keep certain records to meet legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims. If we cannot meet a request in full, we will explain why.

To make a request, email support@askgulf.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call +971 55 107 6999. We will confirm your identity before acting and respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the competent data protection authority in the UAE.

12Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, except where it is included by an adult applicant as part of their own application.

13Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when our services, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the current version. If we make significant changes, we will tell clients and portal users directly where appropriate.
